Just picked up my anvil from the welder. 

He used 7018 rod to weld the forklift fork to the base, which is mild steel.

Measures 22in tall, 12 wide and the face is 4 inches wide. Total weight is about 225lbs.

Sounds good to me (from what I know how it should sound) Mild rebound (not heat treated) and does not seem to have dead spots. 

Cant wait to build a stand!
