May 29, 201610 yr Barn find, just picked up a Hay Budden. I was looking for the serial number, no luck. Next I took the wire brush to the logo. It's an American. I remember that HB made anvils under a lot of different names. Any guess what years HB made anvils with the American logo?
May 29, 201610 yr Author When I was walking out to get pictures, It came to me, what a great weekend to liberate an American.
May 30, 201610 yr American was in business from about 1888-1912, they were an independent company not related to Hay-Budden. Hay-Budden did stamp many hardware company names on anvils for customers but didn't make any stamped American.
