Ive been wanting to get my hands into smithing for some time now and just when ive about saved up to purchase a anvil its seems i may have come across a deal on a used one. Anyways see ya's around. If you add your location to your profile, you might be surprised how many other IFI members there are in your area, not to mention groups and events. Quick word of advice: make sure to set aside a good chunk of time to read over the old discussion threads in the forum. There's a lot of really great information in there, from the most basic beginner stuff to the most advanced on any subject you might like, whether its tools, technique, equipment, projects, skill building, safety, whatever. Make sure to read the stickies at the top of each section of the forum; those are particularly important. Also, while everybody on the forum is always ready to help, they really appreciate people doing their homework before asking questions, especially the most basic ones. It's worth getting on the good side of the curmudgeons; they're often the grumpiest, but they have some of the best information. See you 'round!
