Horseman1968
Just bought a champion forge missing the linkage but with two blowers. I believe the one original to the forge is a number one which I'm restoring. The other other is a model forty as far as I can tell. I'm trying to discern the necessary linkage to hook up a belt drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated .
ausfire
It looks something like a rivetting forge. We have a few like that but I haven't seen one with a belt drive on the wheel directly connected to the lever. However, the linkage to that wheel looks like it might be similar to yours. If it's any help here's a pic of one of ours, but it has a toothed wheel, not flat.

NativeIronGyrl
I have a model number one champion forge I'm interested in pulling out and restoring to being useable...I'm not sure what's all there but I do see the remnants of leather belt still attached..would you like me to see about getting it out & taking some pix? Jim Coke
Greetings Horseman, . The drive hub shoes are drive and release with a ratchet effect . The belting works the ratchet back and forth.. Hope this helps.. Forge on and make beautiful things Jim
