Ruddock
In in the process of making a 2x72 belt grinder and looking for contact wheels, I found thislink to off site commercial site with generic contact wheels photo removedAnd was wondering if anyone knows if they are any good as they seem quite cheap. Jacob Nothstine
Read a lot about the Grizzly 10" contact wheel but have not tried it, still working on building my belt grinder. It around the same price. https://www.grizzly.com/products/10-Aluminum-Rubber-Wheel-For-G1015/G9242
Ruddock
I have researched the grizzly wheel but I'm in the UK and shipping prices are sky high, the postage on the link is cheap which is an added bonusThe link you had posted only displayed a page with a photo of a blue wheel, covered in pop up ads, maybe in UK it showed differently. 781
Freind of mine builds his contact wheel using a tire from an inside use fork lift but he has access to them scrap. They need a hub welded in and trued on a lathe.
Dodge
I wonder if the OP's question is answered. Maybe it was a good wheel, maybe not. We may never know OTOH, I have a grizzly like Jacob linked. I like it Scott Edited July 31, 2015 by Dodge
