Glenn Posted May 3, 2015 Share Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) Fort Klock Restoration Blacksmith Gathering and Hammer –In June 13th and 14th, 2015 7214 NY 5, St. Johnsville, NY 13452 Blacksmithing Competition Smiths will have 1½ hours to forge a pair of V-bit bolt tongs with drawn out reins. Stock will be provided, 5/16 inch rivet will be provided. Coal will be available A limited number of forges and anvils will be available (1 or 2) for contestant use. Contestants should bring a portable blacksmithing set up with manual (non-electric) bellows or blower. No power tools allowed. This is a solo completion, no helpers or fire tenders allowed. Contest held Saturday June 13th from 1PM to 2:30PM Entry fee S10.00 There will be Prizes, categories to be determined depending on number of entrants.
