01tundra
I've been meaning to replace the cheap towel hook in our master bathroom for a couple years now. After finishing my work the other day I figured I'd try my hand at a new hook while the forge was still hot. I grabbed a piece of 1/2" x 12" round stock and started forging without any real plan. I kind of rushed through it because I was tired, but I'm still way happier with this new hook. 01tundra
Thanks. The boss likes it, so that's a win on its own :D. **Correction to the original post (can't edit for some reason) - I started with a 16" long piece of 1/2" round stock, not 12" long as stated above. Charles R. Stevens
You have a llimited window of time to eddit a post. If you miss that window you have to go to Glenn, hat in hand. Same with the upsidedown pictures.
01tundra
Now I see what you mean. On my computer the pictures are right side up, but on my phone the last three are upside down. Weird, this is the first time I've had that happen. No idea why the pictures appear correct on my computer?
Charles R. Stevens
I'm tech challenged, last person you want computer advice from, lol. I have noticed a tendency for smart phone pictures to come out waunky. If you turn the phone upside down or sideways to get a better shot the pick will post that way, wile your phone will show it right side up. A little birdie told me that some new software was being installed, and some folks have had photo uploading issues. Give Glenn and Andrew a little bit and I bet they will sort it out. IanJ
For what it's worth, most cameras have orientation sensors in them to tell the camera which way is up, and will store the orientation in the picture. Some image viewing software will look at that and rotate the picture before displaying it, and some won't. I've found that web browsers usually ignore orientation data, and the picture will come out rotated weirdly if the camera wasn't held in its normal orientation. Usually when you upload a picture to a website like IFI, the software that processes your picture after it's uploaded will reorient the picture so it's always right-side-up no matter which program looks at it. It's possible the software IFI's using was misconfigured or not working quite right.
