EricJergensen
Well, not sure if it's a soup can or not. 6" diameter, 7" long. 2 layers of 1" Inswool. Kast-o-lite 2600 on top of the wool. Burner is 1/2" pipe nipple w/ .023 mig tip. I'm pretty sure it runs slightly rich. Burner is intentionally off center to encourage swirl. Pictures tell the story... njanvilman
Have you fired it up to temperature yet? If so, did it work as you hoped? The "hole" to put stock is a bit small for me. I guess if you just do blades or other straight stock, it will work. I bet the next one you build will be bigger.
Frosty
It should work a treat Eric. Have you run it to full heat yet? Like Josh says it's pretty limited unless you're doing blades or other long narrow work. Teenylittlemetalguy uses his 2 brick forge more than his larger one, it's driven by a 1/2" burner and welds a treat, heck it'll melt your work if you're not careful. It's internal volume isn't much different than yours. How about a couple pics of it at max heat? Frosty The Lucky.
EricJergensen
I'll get some pics at heat next time we light it up. It's working really well for the purpose: mostly 3/16" to 1/4" round stock. Josh: It was specifically made to do small stuff while going really easy on the propane. Main forge is coal forge with a Diamondback 1-burner economy for taking on the road. You're probably right, tho. One project leads to another... EricJergensen
Here it is running full. Cell phone camera doesn't cope well...
