By definition, it IS home made micarta :) HMM can be made from any fabric, or textile and epoxy, acrylic resin, or other "thermosetting" plastic. rockstar.esq Posted September 11, 2014 Share Posted September 11, 2014 I watched a guy on youtube who made what he calls "Crashcarta". He was using construction paper in lieu of felt. There was also some folks who put tooth picks or BB's on the top and bottom plates before clamping.
