I found this swage block recently on a farm and made a stand for it.

 

I am looking for any history regarding it .

Good score. Did you build a step into the stand so you can use the block on edge?

 

Can't help you with it's origin, age or such. Personally I'm a form follows function guy so I don't much care how old, where from, etc. my criteria are slanted to function. A good tool that isn't stolen is a good tool and good enough for me.
