Blacksmith Days At Historic Hans Herr House and Museum A 1719 homestead and the oldest house in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Friday June 27, 2014 12:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. Saturday June 28, 2014 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. We will have the shop open and operating along with several portable forges outside. Come out and help build a project or show up to provide a little friendly heckling. The original 1719 house and barn will be open for tours. And the new Native Long House will be open also. There are many local eateries and ample shopping opportunities. The director at Hans Herr House is excited about having this there, so I hope to make it a great event for everyone. This was previously held at Rough and Tumble Engineers Museum (every year) but they have told us that this year is the last. So, I approached HHH with the idea and we're giving it a go.
