ceas65
hi folks , i live in central New Brunswick , Canada... trying to learn how to's. having a hard time finding anything related .... the community college did offer a course, but has since been discontinued, no ABANA chapter here , Nova Scotia has one but it's just to far away to be practical for learning. Any local smiths out there ... or am I going to have to do this the hard way and learn by trial and error ??
LastRonin
Is that near Alberta or Saskatchewan? The list of Associations linked in the first post of the first thread under blacksmithing general discussion lists associations in both those areas. John McPherson
LR, he is NE of Maine, and halfway to Halifax, Nova Scotia. An absolutely beautiful area that I have been to (in the summer, both days of it) but sparsely populated. I am afraid that travel to take weekend or week long classes is going to be your best bet. One weekend hammer-in will take two years off your learning curve. Maine, NS, or even New England will have something going on that you can get to eventually. JNewman
Paul Fontaine is a professional blacksmith in your area. I believe he does some teaching. http://heritagewroughtiron.com/
