Started out with a 5 day workshop for the basic techniques, and instantly fell in love with the craft. Initially I was mainly interested in forging knives, but this evolved in an interest in forging tools in general (tongs, hammers, axes, ...). Bought only a hammer, and I intend to try and forge all the tools I need myself as soon as the smithy is finished :-) Starting with a punch and some tongs. See you around! Happy hammering and let the iron glow bright! there is tons of data around here, including good books about blacksmithing, enjoy yourself digging through them, it is worth the effort.
