January 31, 201412 yr Hello, New Belgian blacksmith here, nearly finished building my smithy. Started out with a 5 day workshop for the basic techniques, and instantly fell in love with the craft. Initially I was mainly interested in forging knives, but this evolved in an interest in forging tools in general (tongs, hammers, axes, ...). Bought only a hammer, and I intend to try and forge all the tools I need myself as soon as the smithy is finished :-) Starting with a punch and some tongs. See you around!
