Jim Coke
Greetings all, I thought I would pass on what I do with a few tools. Pictured is a 6in diameter planishing hammer die that I placed in a fixture in the flypress as a forming tool.... The advantage is to limit the travel and control the form depth... Than from there to a simple fixture at the anvil as a jewelers stake for hand planishing.. If you have a planishing hammer you now can use the dies for more than one thing... Forge on and make beautiful things Jim

arftist
Very interesting. I make tooling to fit my air planishing hammer that also fits my hardy hole, but not my fly press, though I did set up the fly press with a matching hardy hole. The effort you put into the appearance of your tooling is inspiring.
Jim Coke
Greetings again, I can't take credit for making the tool fixtures.. Found them on E Bay made by a nice fellow in Virginia .. I just repurposed them for use with planishing hammer dies at the anvil and flypress.. Forge on and make beautiful things Jim
