He did not set himself on fire :)

At 7:12 he puts his tough mark on the project.

 

Chances are those bill hooks are used for a long time. A quick resharpening and they are good to go.

To bad the video did not include more of the beginning processes of drawing out and shaping the steel.  Interesting anyway, forging with minimal equipment.
