T.J.watts
I've made a few of these when I have down time at work I built this one for a friend during my breaks. Just wanted your opinions. Everything is cut from .125 a-36 plate and the stem is .375 rod. I used a torch to heat the pieces and hammered the shape of the vise one at a time welding them together with L-56 hard wire. Bead blasted everything and then buffed and reheated to get the color. The engraving was done with a diamond bit and die grinder. The gold detailing was done with brass rod then clear coated. windancer
Nice design style. I never thought about doing the leaves that way. Lot's of little touches that make it your own. Your friend will love it! Dave

windancer
TJ, how are you getting such smooth compound curves on the edges? Been trying to make a hand die tool to forge them but the two curves at once in my hangup:) Dave
