It does get to HrC of 60, If you can move it at heat, also how will you heat treat it ? and Where did you find it ??? jmccustomknives Posted September 1, 2013 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Never heard of e-2, I found that same chart and really don't have a clue if it's right. The chem analisis Curmudgeon list indicates that it is an air hardening steel. Cobalt and Tungsten would make it like a high speed. Heat up a piece and test it.
