Buddy of mine gave me a moose skull that he found in the woods.

 

I is a bit weathered and so i wanted to do something I had never seen before and so here is is thus far.

 

the pit will have an isulated bottom and 4" wall to help keep the heat from charing the skull

 

I also made some candle holders as mantle or table center pieces

Like it all. It is always fun tring to use skulls in your work.

That is sweet looking fire pit, once it's done you should get a pic of that in low light with a fire going in it. I'd bet it would look great. I also like the candle holders, great job all around.

Pretty nice fire pit I think there's enough separation to keep heat from doing too much damage though dampening the skull and rack might be a good thing. I really like the way the antlers will make a dandy toasting stick holders.

Awesome fire pit! Great work on incorporating the cool skull with the metal. The candle holders and centerpiece are really pretty, the leaves are great accents.
