April 21, 201313 yr Watching the episode right now, the series follows Todd Kaine as he moves forward into production and custom knife making with his brothers. I didn't even know this show was being made! Good thing more exposure, bad thing more exposure....

April 22, 201313 yr Why can't more shows be like "The Woodwright's Shop"? Yeah and New Yankee workshop( hate the name). Both great step by step educational shows. Maybe Basher or Steve will do a show one day on PBS? Saturday morning between Sesame st. and America's test kitchen. They could travel from town to town helping knife makers improve their techniques.
April 22, 201313 yr I pitched a few shows similar to the Woodwright's shop...not enough interest. It is mostly about fake confrontation and argument these days...and high technology for tooling. I find solace in the fact that ANYTHING having to do with blades is making on TV. I hope they do well. A show on blacksmithing would be good. "Battling Blacksmiths" perhaps? Ric
