Randy
Are there any smiths or companies out there producing a mechanical power hammer today for sale? Who and contact info would be appreciated.
macbruce
These look modern and are made in Italy I believe, other than that I know nothing else about them......

doc
The last link has some nice shapers and planers they manufacture. Didn't know anyone still made planers.
Randy
Thanks! How about in the US? I'm asked about this from students all of the time and it'd be good to have something to show them. Is Yoder making a tire hammer? Anyone or anything thing else out there in mechanical hammers?
MLMartin
I do not believe there is anyone commercially making mechanical hammers in the US. There is a tire hammer but that seems to be home built or class directed built. Not a factory turning them out.
Dave Hammer
Randy.... If you are interested in a tire hammer, Mike Shipe (Bel Air, MD) makes and sells them.... What are you actually looking for?
Randy
I'm just trying to find people that make a mechanical hammer as I get students that ask me about it and I don't know where to send them. I know Mike. I'll see what he says. Thanks!

Don Hanson
New from Little Giant in Nebraska City a couple years ago. :D
Steve H
Wow~ Is that a whole new casting? I like it!
Don Hanson
Wow~ Is that a whole new casting? I like it! New old stock. Sid got a few frames that were never assembled when he bought the Little Giant company 20+ years ago. I was lucky enough to get one of the 'New' 100 lb hammers. One thing to keep in mind, the rebuilt hammers Sid sells are better than they were new. He and Keri do a great job on them!
