darren70 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 G'Day everyone I have been a member for a while so I thought I should say hi. I'm from Australia and have had an interest in blacksmithing for years although I haven't done much about it. I have a background in the metal trades and engineering and I like the old ways so this is a natural progression for me. I have been gradually collecting gear for a blacksmith shop at home and I’m making stuff as time permits. Lots of great info here and I hope I can contribute as well Thanks Darren Quote

Drewy Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 G day Darren Have your heard of the NSW Artist Blacksmiths Association. We meet monthly across different towns and cities, this month we were in Grafton, next month Lithgow at the annual Ironfest gathering. Kurri Kurri, Branxton and Glen Oak are our Hunter Valley gatherings. There is also Tamworth in June. If you look up ABA NSW on the www, there is a membership form and general info, we also publish three magazines per year. Regards Craig Quote
