June 7, 200719 yr As to the blacksmith meetings, how does one go about finding something in the area?
June 7, 200719 yr Author Thanks Glenn, if I weren't so darned lazy, I might have found that section,...... eventually.
June 7, 200719 yr Blacksmithing groups in your area Glenn, you might want to add NWBA to Oregon as well as Washington. It represents WA, OR and some of Northern California..
June 7, 200719 yr RegionalChaosNorth West Blacksmiths Association - NWBA is listed under Washington State. The difficulty comes when a group covers several states. For example NWBA covers WA, OR and some of Northern California as you said.
June 8, 200719 yr Author Thanks so much for the info on where to find the groups. I live in NW Missouri, not too far from St. Joseph. It looks like BAM is my best bet. Glen, I started that thread as you suggested.
June 8, 200719 yr hercBlacksmiths Association of Missouri : ABANA affiliate. is BAM's web site. The latest newsletter plus the meeting schedule is posted there.
June 9, 200719 yr You just missed a great conference in Sedalia. BAM is a very good group and has a lot of people willing to help you out as does this forum and ABANA. Welcome to BAM if you wish to join. I live just on the other side of Chillicothe but am only a novice blacksmith. Give me a holler one weekend or something. Fred
