Nicemibs
Hello to all I have an auction tomorrow near by it has a 100# Duracraft anvil listed with picture, Any info who made them for what hardware store? Is it worth having for being unique anvil? I have never seen one thanks Jeff
Timothy Miller
I would think it is not a professional quality anvil. I would view it as an ASO. Though you never know till you try it.
macbruce
I dunno, If I were thinking of bidding on it I'd be sure to take a ball bearing and a little file to to check out the face. Might be cast steel, could very well be an ASO....buyer beware!
John McPherson
Probably an all cast iron ASO from India. Raised letters too close to the top to have a thick steel face. There was another one posted back in August 2010. Google search shows that Duracraft is now a name put on asian imports.
MOblacksmith0530
Duracraft was a name of chinese import tools back in the 80's. I have a duracraft drill press. I keep waiting on it to die completely. My guess because of the location of the cast letters as already noted is cast iron ASO.
