Redirecting air is no more complicated than aiming the air blast at the piping to the forge. For more air, use a direct path to the piping, for less aim the blower toward but not directly at the piping, allowing only the air needed to enter the piping. The remainder of the air will be off to the side of the piping and wasted. Another way is to put a "T" in the air line and open or close one branch of the "T" to spill any unwanted air.
