postleg
Here are some pics of my latest hawk. It is made from a 32oz ball pien hammer head. First time ive used a 32 oz nice having extra material to work with. The handle is an old broken sledge hammer handle It is decorated with 200 (3oz) of nickle tacks. It also has copper and bone beads and a wild turkey feather.

postleg
The head was finished with Berchwood casy's plum brown finish. It is comonly used on muzzle loading firearms. The handle was burnt then rubbed with the old blacksmith finish of bee's wax, turpintine and linseed oil.
