June 14, 201214 yr Author well got some welding done today. I am almost out of wire and gas. got the tray supports welded in tonight. now I can build to fit the tray to the tank body. should be done soon enough. had to take some 4" x 44" strips of tank material to work and use the bender there to form it. made short work of it with the right tools :)
June 14, 201214 yr mine is stitch welded together, possibly for easier claening, possibly for saving wire and gas, but it works very well!

July 30, 201510 yr Author well my son started working on it again. I had my other knee replaced so I have been home most of the summer so far. need one more piece over the air throat to neck it down. Edited July 30, 201510 yr by Yetti
September 18, 201510 yr Author Finally its fired up! me and my son played a bit just to see how the chimminy drafted. its a bit off yet as we need to cut in the front for the smoke box. in the one pic you can see the flame being sucked between the tray and the fire box wall.
