March 23, 200719 yr See also http://www.iforgeiron.com/forum/f7/free-blacksmithing-books-web-2032/ maybe we should have a "books link" on IFI or a bp for on line books that we could add to as we find more? good find..
March 23, 200719 yr I love the old books too. However, bear in mind a lot of water has passed under the bridge since they were written. In over 100 years, metallurgy has come a long way. Read and appreciate what our forefathers had to work with but arm yourself with more modern literature when you want to learn.
March 24, 200719 yr I think the idea for a book link is a great idea (sorry to add to the list Glenn:) ). NOW, if I just still had that active account at the college. I paid a technology fee of somewhere around 120 dollars a year, so when I found good books, in PDF format, in the public realm, those big laserjet printers and reams of paper sure came in handy -Aaron @ the SCF
