March 26, 201214 yr I have just starting making these roses. the first 3 are 1/4 stockthe last one in 3/8 stock.I have a ways to go in getting the initial roll tighter.
March 26, 201214 yr just a suggestion from how I do mine is to bend the petal 90 degrees before you roll it up Put this bend in the area where the bottom of the cut begins. On smaller flowers sometimes this is just a flattening of the edge of the petal. When you roll the flower up if you stay flat when rolling it makes a wild rose and if you work the roll down the stem a little so the center stands prowd you get a totally different look. Yours look more like the bud before it ipens if you bend the petal over it looks more like a mature bloom
March 27, 201214 yr These look good for your firsts. Keep practicing and they get better. Keep us posted on how you progress. Mitch
