Bear Posted March 13, 2007 Share Posted March 13, 2007 what kind of steel is stamped #1 steel? I was able to pick up a piecs 8"x9" x 2.375" thick and it is stamped #1 steel. Any ideas? HWooldridge Posted March 13, 2007 Share Posted March 13, 2007 DME is a supplier to the injection molding business and they sell #1, #2 and #3 steel - which roughly equal 1018, 4140 and H13 (if I recall correctly).
