metal99
I have a 75 (I think) pound Trenton but do want a bigger one. I came across this on kijiji but I think the price is through the roof! What do you guys think?http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-art-collectibles-Anvil-Peter-Wright-W0QQAdIdZ359462739
CurlyGeorge
That's over $5.50 per pound. I know that I wouldn't even consider buying it at that price. :)
metal99
Every single anvil on kijiji around here is about five dollars a pound . . . To me that is insane! I paid $40 for my 75 lb trenton wich was a good deal but still
pkrankow
Keep looking. For that price you can buy new and bigger Phil
metal99
Kinda what I was thinking. There are even some 100-150 pounders on there for 5-600 dollars. I dont understand what makes people think there worth so much. If it wasnt for the shipping I would just buy one from ebay because at least there selling for the 3 ish dollar a lb mark. Thanks for looking you guys. I wont waste my time or his by replying to his add now. I just wanted another oppinion on it.
WmHorus
Anvil pricing is an old argument and has been discussed here quite a bit. take a look on craigslist see what turns up. also look outside your immediate area,
Montana7
Or don't look at all. I find things (that I previously looked for & couldn't find) fall in my lap when I do that. Funny how that works.
