drophammer Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Hello l am in the middle of a tree project and having problems getting the pipe and round stk looking right. I have tried making jigs with half holes and chisels but no good , I need a better smith than me. Any advice would be appreciated. Quote
John B Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Here are pictures of how you can texture solid round stock. This particular sample is for Oak tree type bark texture, a simple spring tool with grooves cut across the faces with an angle grinder blade about 1/8" thick, insert stock and rotate whilst striking, the tool can be used under powerhammer, treadle hammer or on anvil with sledge or large hammer. The other tool in picture 4 is for making the acorns, Quote
