Klammer
Was going to order from here along with some of their handles to ensure a match: http://www.hawkinsknifemakingsupplies.com/7.shtml Other option was from blacksmith depot: https://www.blacksmithsdepot.com/page.php?theLocation=/Resources/Product/Forging_Tools_misc/Tomahawk_Drift.xml/ Can anyone who has used either or both comment? Cheers, Kris

rsilver4
The Kayne drifts are fine, but don't let the head get cool. The drifts are made from ductile iron and are soft,if the head gets too cool it will peel the metal from the drift,I have 3 or 4 and they are all little mishapen.I think they are made more for wrap and weld heads---Regards Butch
thibeau
The best thing to do is have a tomahawk head of the size you plan on using, then make your own drift to fit it. Use sucker rod or alloy steel like 4140 or 5160 types. Then you'll always have the right size and it will last for years
