Bentiron1946 Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 If you take a wire brush to that anvil you will probably find the name on it and it will look a bit better too. I have put a wire brush on my small grinder and cleaned up my anvil but never, never use an abrasive disk to clean the rust off, just never, let the blows of your hammer wear the face of the anvil down, not an abrasive disk. Wire brush OK, abrasive disk NOT OK. That is a nice looking anvil and you want to keep it that way for future generations. B) Quote

I was thinking trenton as well. But the horn appears to curve up where most of the trentons are flat. B and a bunch of numbers usually is trenton. Does it ring like a church bell? Quote
