This blade 240 layers of 1075 & 8670m. Bolster is made from copper and steel mokume gane that I made yesterday. I haven't been able to identify the wood - just another block that I inherited from a luthier who couldn't pay his rent a few years back. I made a ring for my fiancee from the tang so I think this one wont be going up for sale as she wants it. Blade is 4 1/4", overall length 8 3/4"

Lastly a dagger out of 8670m at 12", oal: 17 3/4" tw: 1lb 5.5oz - Guard, spacer and pommel of 1018. Handle is purple heart and hickory from my first smithing hammer (I knew I saved that broken handle for a reason).

price? priceless.

Yeah, I've just been thinking about things with the economy - I know what I'd like to charge for my work, I also know what my time is worth - material prices haven't gone down but it still comes down to taking a slight pay cut and selling more vs keeping my pricing scheme the same and possibly selling less. It's amazing what 15% can do to a buyers motivation - it's also interestingly amazing at what that can do to a makers budget. Perhaps I should just be looking for new venues to find the bigger customers? I don't make things because I want to be rich - I make them because I love what I do and wouldn't have the same sense of accomplishment doing something else. The fact that I can earn money is just an added bonus that my belly is very happy about. :)
