I just set the marble in it the way i wanted it to go and layed it carefuly in the forge and slowly heated it up till it started to melt, then took it out and let it cool slowley,,,did it last night so i thought the green marble was appropriate for st. patty's day :D

March 20, 201115 yr Well, like I said yesterday, I tried the marble in the cross today. I love to post my accomplishments and show others what great work I can do (because they are rare) but this isn't one of those posts. I used a smaller cross than the RR spike cross and left it in the fire too long. The marble melted big time and ran out the other side, looked bad. Good thing I used an old cross to practice with. Maybe tomorrow I'll try it on a larger cross and pay more attention to whats going on. Too many irons in the fire. Trial and error, practice makes perfect, if at first you......... well you get my drift. Mark<><
