November 16, 201015 yr I just won this anvil last night on eBay. My link Time will tell if it's in as good of shape as he's claiming. At a little over $1 a pound, I though it was worth the risk. I also picked up his post vise in another auction. Looks like I'm driving up to Riverside this Saturday!
November 16, 201015 yr Good anvil with a lot of life left in it too. Decent size for a shop anvil and a decent price. I think you done good!
November 17, 201015 yr What he said. Buck a pound for a good decent sized anvil. I just payed $1.6/lb for a never used peter wright 186 lb anvil its really nice guy baught it had a heart attack and its sat in his barn for 20 years
November 18, 201015 yr I've got a 199 lbs Hill that I picked up for about $1.50/pound. They seem to be good anvils. Apparently there are not to many around in North America. Mine has quite a bit of sway. Still good though. From what I've found they were made between 1830-1850 in England.
