hello all,im brand new to iforgeiron and to blacksmithing in general.ive always been interested in the whole process, but cant seem to find anyone in my area thats a blacksmith.i live in east TN and would love learn how.i most interested in makeing knives and the like,any help would be great.thanks

Really Glenn??? That's the BEST you can do?......:lol: Looks like you have to try to not find a blacksmith in TN LOL.

BTW, welcome to the forum Bronzbeard. With over 15,000 members, this is about the best place to seek information on blacksmithing as well as metalwork in general. Check out the chat too. Usually someone in there most evenings and many times during the day. Due to the time zone differences, that is when many of our over-the-pond brethren (and sisters ;)) are on line. Lots of good discussion takes place. Sometimes, even blacksmithing is covered LOL!

Thanks for all the responses,i finally got ahold of some ppl at Bristol forge.My first "class" i guess is the right word is on Nov.14 ill keep u informed on my progress and hopefully figure out how to post pics of what i make.Thanks again guys for all the help.
