September 21, 201015 yr Very nice- I'll definitely have to make some of these! How did you attach the candle base to the stem? It doesn't look welded...
September 22, 201015 yr Author I plug welded the cups to the handle by punching a hole in the handle and plug welding the cup to it, and then ground the welds down and heated to scale off the grinding marks.
October 4, 201015 yr Really neat. I like lighting projects. They seem to be a timeless and popular theme. Even as the incandescent bulb business has come to and end, being replaced by CFLs, I believe good old wax candles will always be around :)
October 6, 201015 yr I tried my hand at them at a demo, last weekend. Sold 8 of them and have orders for about a dozen more. Wow! Couldn't believe how well they went over. Thanks for the idea. And NO I did not take credit for the original design. I told the ones that asked where I got the idea from. Gave IFI a little advertising. :)
