will parkerizing mess with the temper of a knife?

    No it won't as it doesn't get hot enough. It is boiling temp, not sure if the chemicals raise the boiling temp over water, but it is under 300 degrees.

    Hot blueing salts are 292 degrees.

    I used to do a fair amount of parkerizing. Temp was always under 210 degrees, around 195 worked best for the solution I was using, from Brownells.
