junker
will parkerizing mess with the temper of a knife?
BIGGUNDOCTOR
No it won't as it doesn't get hot enough. It is boiling temp, not sure if the chemicals raise the boiling temp over water, but it is under 300 degrees. Hot blueing salts are 292 degrees. zampilot
I used to do a fair amount of parkerizing. Temp was always under 210 degrees, around 195 worked best for the solution I was using, from Brownells.
