otto
just finised this one in time for the pirate faire. The blade is 1080 CS with 100 year old oak for the handle and my first sheath. and I put a hourseraddish finish on the blade stinky but fun. I would imagine it would throw off the balance of the blade, especially in a horrizontal sheath.
otto
Thanks, the horse radish you dab onto the blade and wait an hour, wash it off and repeat a couple of times. It gives it a black finish and an old look. And the coil on the end balances the blade. The blade and the handle are the same length and I tapered the end of the handle to make the coil so it balances the blade and feels good in the hand.
