Another hook

I usually use a program called Irfanview. http://www.irfanview.com/ It's freeware. You can do a lot of things with it. Under "options" use "Resample/Resize".

Hope it helps.

For web pics I use a old version of Paint Shop Pro to resize.
The pic you posted has a pixel size of 3648 x 2736, using 1.92mb.
A pixel width of 1280 usually works fine for most web sites.
Just remember to "SAVE AS" and asign it a new name so you don't mess up the orriginal.

A nice start but I try to make the taper as smooth as possible before I "hook" it. How big a plant do you think a 1/4" round bar will support when cantilevered out like that?

It must be a very small plant, but that hook does look nice. Good work.

Nice hook for a little guy. when I was looking at the picture, it occured to me that the drive point on most "standard" drive hooks are roughly perpendicular to, or angled a little down from perpendicular to the vertical base of the hook. Would it not be better for a longish hook like the one you made to have the drive point actually angle a little upwards from perpendicular? even with a little bit of upward curve on the drive point.

sorry for the crude drawing.

Tried one like that. Was harder to drive it in.

Thanks, I can't believe it didn't dawn on me to angle it up. I'll give it a shot

Nice looking hook! Whats with the store bought "S" hook? Go ahead and make yourself a "S" hook would look better.

Yeah, the store bought came with the planter but I've made a few.
