Ted T
I am requesting help to identify approximately what year my Trenton Anvil was manufactured. TRENTON Anvil Markings 1. Found on the front Foot: 200 21 0525 Note: There was NO “A” found in the serial number When we weighed the anvil on bathroom weigh scales, it read about 205 lbs. Note: The scales are not exact and we had to place some boards in the scale for the anvil to fit. So, 200 pounds would be very close! 2. On the Bottom of the anvil, it has an Oval (Cupped out) shape with the number 41 In the center which were “Raised” numbers from the casting process. 3. On the right side, there is a horizontal diamond shape with the word “TREXION” stamped in it. Note: There is no other marks such as (USA) or (GERMANY) found under it. piglet_74
I looked in the Postman book, the A disappears by about 1913 and by the late 1930's the N started to look more like an X. If the 200 is the weight then the serial 210525 would put it between 1943 and 1945. Hope this helps, Rob.

Sask Mark
Please post pictures if you have a chance Ted. I think Trentons are the best looking anvils.
