First official piece...

Featured Replies

Well, here it is, my first official forged piece, from 1/2" mild steel round stock. I'd done some skewers and hooks, but those didn't really count!

The dog's head (adapted from the wolf head blueprint) on the end of the letter opener didn't come out perfectly, but I think it's OK for my second try.

Comments are loved! :D

I think that's a fine job. The more that you forge, the better that the items will look. It's called practice.:) But your letter opener is real nice. Now, get back to the forge and make some more new items and good luck. :D

My third piece was a snake, I still have it and right proud of it even now. Your off to a good start.

he has character - i love how his head lies back onto his body! nice one:)

It might be your second, but I'll bet it won't be the last. Good job.

Looks good to me. Perfection is for real dogs. (yeah, right. )
