Frosty Posted December 17, 2009 Share Posted December 17, 2009 Welcome aboard Mike, glad to have ya. There're a lot of things that sell you can use to learn smithing before getting into blades. Fences, gates and the like are good but you have to be sure of your joinery or as the manufacturer you may find yourself liable if something breaks and someone gets hurt. On that note, get good before you do railings, banisters, stairways and the like, lots of people put a lot of force on railings.
