October 20, 200916 yr say, does any one of you guys have a neat looking disign for a letter-opener? (pics will appreciated) i have seen some on google, but they're not too good looking i have enough stock to make some. thanks for looking here anyway, Joe

October 20, 200916 yr Joe go through all of the basic bps...a letter openr with a hook on the end, a leaf or what ever you want to do will look great and be yur design. It will also give yuo a good forgeing exercise for learning.....
October 22, 200916 yr one that I have made for friends take 1/4" rod about 16" fold it in half and forge weld the open end together about half way up shape into a blade. twist the un welded end as a handle. simple but works

October 23, 200916 yr Two pretty neat ones can be made from one horse shoe. They may even have enough carbon to make a pretty decent camp knife.
