It's was my great grand-father's anvil. We think it's a french type anvil but we don't really know. We don't know the age either ; any idea? it would be greatly appreciated if you could help us! I suspect that you may need to speak a little French (or get some help from someone who does) in order to get very far with this inquiry. It stayed in the barn where we dressed hogs and cured meat. It stayed on top of a box that he kept the salt in to keep the critters out.
