jockaneezer
hi, i,m graeme and i,m a maintenance fitter. been dabbling in and out of forging over the years both through work and as a hobby. did a brief viking knife making course earlier this year and that kinda got me kick started into setting up a small forge at home. i have a shop with a lathe, miller and pillar drill which i've built up over the years. i enjoy projects and would like a go at a JYH if i can make it cheaply enough. Frosty
Welcome aboard Graeme, glad to have you. Normally we suggest a person learn something about blacksmithing before they start building specialized tools and equipment. While the basic JYH is a pretty easy build for someone with decent fabrication skills there's more to them than just well built. Then again, there are plenty of folk right here on this forum who have jumped into foreign waters and come up with elegantly well done projects. There are also lots of your countrymen here which can't hurt. . . I HOPE! Frosty
