tatertatum Posted September 1, 2009 Share Posted September 1, 2009 My new fatherin law was taking to me about bilding a corn forge/coal forge from a brake drum and says he can get me a used one at work so i say ok i'll see what i can do with it after i get it. Rob Browne Posted September 1, 2009 Share Posted September 1, 2009 A little bit large but if you make some cutouts either side to allow for long bits it would be entirely usable but maybe not too portable After saying that it may not be that much too large for a corn forge. I had a play with some corn on the weekend and you really go through the fuel so a large fire pot may be the way to go. Frosty Posted September 1, 2009 Share Posted September 1, 2009 I like those for outdoor fire pits. make some legs so it sits off the ground. Make a grate so the fire doesn't drop through and make it a swing out grill so you can cook steaks or heat a pot of coffee and it's a beartiful thing.
