July 24, 200916 yr Anybody here have any ideas on a roller [hand or power ] that can roll up to 3/8'' x 5'' MS flat to about a 2' radius that's worth spending money on ? I'm looking for something that is fairly compact and can be adapted to roll a variety of sections with reasonable accuracy.

July 25, 200916 yr rolling 3/8 x 5 to 2 ft dia is beyond hand power. Will need a power roll with atleast 3" rollers. very pricey. Check flebay under fabricating equip. Had a 3 hp chain drive 36" with 2" rolls at my last job it wouldn't come close. Ken
July 25, 200916 yr You're right, but.............. that was a 36" wide roll. In 36 inches it's easy to flex even 3" rolls. You need a 6" wide "Tire" bender with a reduction gear.
July 25, 200916 yr It's not that hard to build a ring roller, especialy if you have a lathe. You can use sprockets and chain instead of gears.
