SBuzek
I forge welded a piece of 3/4" cable to day and wound up with a bar 1/4"X3/4"X15" in length. My question is how do I get a wider bar, should I cut and stack and weld it together again and go from there or is there a better way. Thanks Stan
adamj
i would just fold it over and weld it same as cutting it without having to cut it. and use a cross peen to widen it easier
Rob Browne
Yep, just fagot weld it then draw it wider, not longer.
JPH
SB: If you forge in a decent edge bevel you can get a 1 3/16" to 1 1/4" wide blade out of 3/4 x 1/4" stock no problem..wider if you are really good at it... JPH
